The Global Herbalist Certificate Program

On your herbalism journey, The Global Herbalist certificate program explores 60 healing plants from 4 herbal healing traditions around the world while learning the foundations of herbalism. During this 12-week course you will make herbal remedies for your global healing chest to support your personal health and wellbeing. Included is a course binder with handouts, readings, course materials excluding recommended supplemental books and an final herbalism project materials. We will have 1 field trip and ~24 hours of outside reading/projects based on herbal traditions that we will explore. 

You'll be recognized as a Certified Global Herbalist with a certificate presented at the end of the course depending upon completion of course requirements and a final exam (not expected if you do not wish to complete the certificate). If you are already a Certified Herbalist, this course will be fabulous addition to your knowledge base by deepening your undersanding of herbalism from a global healing perspective.

Week 2. August 30th: Galenic herbalism and materia medica

Week 3. September 6th: The Four Humours

Week 4: September 13th: Gemmotherapy

Week 5. September 20th: Introduction to Celtic herbalism and spirituality

Week 6. Setpember 27th: Celtic medicine making

Week 7. October 4th: Mayan healing traditions and materia medica

Week 8. October 11th: Mayan ceremony & Cacao medicine

Week 9. October 18th: Shamanism & medicine of the Amazon Rainforest

Week 10. October 25th: The modern apothecary: Science of plant medicine

Week 11.  November 1st: Dia de los Muertos celebration + Herbal project presentations

Week 12. November 8th: Closing ceremony
