Medicinal Plant ID & Hike

We will meet at the Chavez and Beaver Brook Trai Loop trailhead for a  ~2 hour medicinal plant hike  (depending on the group pace) where we will identify and learn about up to 20 medicinal plants along the way. Test your scavenger hunting skills with a plant key and see how many medicinal plants you can spot before we ID them! Moderately challenging hiking. The full loop is 5 miles and 1,122 feet of elevation gain, however we will complete our guided hike after about 1.5 miles down the trail depending on pace of the group. You are welcome to turn back at this point or continue on the loop to enjoy the rest of the hike.

Meet near the restrooms near the picnic table. You may need to park down the road if the parking lot is full. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and layers. Much of the trail is shaded with some sunny areas.
